Virginia's first Townsend's Solitaire
Matt Hafner found this adult Townsend's Solitaire at Harvey's Knob, Virginia on 11/19/2007. Just as he arrived at the hawk watch (~9:15 a.m.),
he spotted the bird landing about 20' away. He managed to snap these "digi-bino" images during
the 2 or 3 minutes the bird was present. This excellent find is a new state record for Virginia. Congratulations, Matt!
