Above: A Blue Jay takes advantage of a flying ant emergence (Anne Arundel Co., Maryland, 5/16/2012).

Below: A Sleepy Orange at Fort Smallwood, Maryland (5/15/2012). This species is uncommon throughout the state and was an exciting find at the park. It is my first record for Anne Arundel Co. and my earliest in the state by about two weeks.
