Comments: This common diving duck breeds in Canada, Alaska, the Great Lakes, and New England. During the winter, it migrates south to almost every corner of the U.S., from reservoirs and ponds to coastal areas. These birds were photographed on the Ottawa River in Ontario, Canada.
